Area SuperFans Visit Ralph Tresvant's Video Shoot!
Submitted by

All I can say is we had a ball at Ralph's video
shoot for his new single, "My Homegirl!"
We were early risers on Friday morning because the
video shoot took place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. We were going to
the Palace of Fine Arts location in San Francisco, and a few of
us needed to allow for some extra travel time as we were in the
East Bay and had to fight the early morning Bay Bridge traffic.
We finally arrived at the video shoot location,
and a few of the production people were there. Ralph had not arrived
yet. Once everyone arrived, Dan Dillman,
founder and CEO of Xzault, made the NEFC members feel
right at home. He said thanks to the SuperFans for all their hard
work and for the way we have been keeping Ralph's name out there.
Each time we thanked him for allowing us to be there, he thanked
us for our hard work. Both Dan and Chuck
Richardson (Vice President of Xzault) also had very
nice things to say about our SuperFans Leader, Nita Hampton.
Once Xzault made us feel like family and part
of the crew, then Dan and Chuck told us to feel free to hang out
with them, have fun and observe. A few moments later, Ralph jumps
out of the car (looking HOT as ever) and approaches us. As usual,
he treats us like old friends. A few jokes and laughs were exchanged
and we talked about the CD.
After we stood around talking to Ralph for
a little while, it was time for work to begin. Ralph was taken
to the area where the filming would take place, and we followed
him shortly thereafter.

filming began. Read

Atlanta SuperFans have been "RizzWaFairing"
all over the Dirty South! In addition to hanging posters
all over the metro area, we attended the NE Concert in
Savannah wearing T-shirts promoting Ralph's "RizzWaFaire"
solo project, put up posters, and handed out postcards
there.
Join us Friday, March 10, at Jay's
Place II 4612 Redan Road and Hairston for our "RizzWaFaire"
listening party.

I decided to staple a poster to the
front of my jacket and 4 postcards to the back went to the entrance
of a Celtics game and got a WHOLE lot of attention. This is
Boston so why not? At one point I had about 20 people around
me asking questions about the new album. I plan on doing the
same thing on March 7 and going outside record stores (where
I've received permission) and passing out the rest of the postcards.
This has been the most fun I've ever had!

Chicago Regional Team Leader
Chicago area SuperFans met this past
Sunday at the Bronzeville Coffee House and I distributed the
posters and postcards to the crew. Everyone was excited and
charged about helping promote Ralph's CD. They all mentioned
that they were going to get started immediately with posting
the posters.
We sat around for a while and reminisced on our childhood and
the crazy things we did to meet New Edition. Kelvin, one of
the guys helping us post the posters, brought great pictures
of the guys in concert and up close and personal pictures. It
was great! I think we are on a great start and I have requested
that they send me an update on how they are doing and once I
hear from them I will definitely update you on their progress.

Down here in the Dirty South we have been on the job. We've
hit beauty salons heavily and they have been very receptive.
Everyone has been very excited about the upcoming project. We
have received many offers from places to shave Ralph's head
for him when he comes to town. I've even had one of the hardest
dudes I've ever seen start singing "Sensitivity."
My favorite quote while out "RizzWaFairing"
has been "I'm going to buy it for real and not
get it on bootleg."

Las Vegas Regional Team Leader
Las Vegas SuperFans have been holding
it down for Ralph Tresvant's "RizzWaFaire"
CD. Posters have been hung throughout the city and postcards
are all over. I also was "RizzWaFairing"
at the recent Keith Sweat concert and Kenny Latimore's show
as well. Magic week which is the equivalent of Fashion Week
was in Vegas and Ralph' postcards were given out at that function.
Las Vegas SuperFans have continously been requesting the single
"My Homegirl"
on the local radio station.

Los Angeles area Superfans have been
on the job. With Los Angeles County covering over a 300 mile
radius, having fans that live throughout the area have helped
ensure that the "RizzWaFaire"
was truly everywhere. Fans have hung up posters in local/chain
record stores, college campuses, and swap meets. Mrs. Lewis
and Lala DeVoe were in attendance at the Riverside, CA "Man
of Her Dreams" play, where they passed out postcards
spreading the word on "RizzWaFaire,"
a new member to the board attended the San Diego show where
he got his "RizzWaFaire"
on, and Oakland Team Leader NewEditionLady lent a hand to the
Los Angeles team by "RizzWaFairing"
at the Long Beach, CA show along with
and .
I was also able to obtain permission to leave postcards at the
famous Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles and M&M's Soul Food
restaurants. Thanks to everyone for all of your time, assistance,
and support.

Oakland SuperFans team "Mission:
RizzWaFaire" began with phone calls and
emails to local radio stations alerting them of the new
CD and first single.
Our second "RizzWaFairing"
mission was on the set of the "My
Homegirl" video shoot. As spectators passed
through to get a glimpse of Ralph Tresvant during the
making of his video, we gave them information highlighting
Ralph's upcoming CD.
Third, we took "Mission:
RizzWaFaire" to the streets. Equipped
with our materials (tape, staplers, scissors, push pins,
posters, postcards, etc.), we began hanging posters and
posting cards in key locations throughout the city including
colleges, record shops, speaker stores, restaurants, malls,
performing arts centers, beauty salons, barbershops, etc.
|
Our final "RizzWaFairing"
mission before the CD drops
on March 7 was at Ralph's four performances in the play, "Man
of Her Dreams," at Oakland's Paramount Theatre.
Nothing beats promoting "RizzWaFaire"
in the presence of Ralph Tresvant, himself! Mission accomplished,
Oakland team!

Raleigh/Durham Regional Team Leader
I had the desire to help promote
Ralph's "RizzWaFaire"
album any way that I could! I wanted to tell everyone
that I knew about it and got right to work when my promotional
materials arrived. My area of concentration consisted
of covering the Raleigh/Durham, NC area and I also decided
to add surrounding cities just because I believe in the
project so much.
In my efforts of "RizzWaFairing,"
I got the word out by telling friends and family, passing
out postcards at local events, purchasing the singles
online, hanging up posters, and promoting Ralph online.
Some of the places I targeted for posters were records
stores, hair salons, barbershops, universities, local
eateries, and radio stations.
I really enjoyed bringing smiles
to faces while handing out the postcards and listening
to all the stories of admiration for our Ralph.

St. Louis Regional Team Leader
WOW! St. Louis is making "RizzWaFaire"
a successful assignment. With only two members I and ,
have covered a lot of ground hanging posters and passing out
post cards. Posters have been hung at Southeast Missouri State
University, Harris Stowe State University, local bus depots,
mall parking lots, check cashing places, restaurants, nail shops,
Sam Goody, P Mac, and Streetside record stores. Postcards were
handed to parents at my job,
posted some on university bulletin boards and we also left them
at Streetside and Vintage Vinyl record stores. We have also
been calling the local radio stations to request the new hot
single "My Homegirl."
Now some of the DJ's know me on a first name basis. This is
only the beginning because we will continue to do our part to
help Ralph. Soon I will be speaking with a promotion leader
of one of the local radio stations, to see if one their DJ's
can be on air live at our listening party for
"RizzWaFaire." Back

Thank
You SuperFans!

Thanks to all the SuperFans that have worked and
continue to work hard promoting Ralph Tresvant's CD "RizzWaFaire"
due to be released nationwide this Tuesday March 7.
You will see in the following article submissions from the Regional
Leaders how diligent the love and support for Ralph is across
the country. You will notice the term "RizzWaFairing"
used often. "RizzWaFairing"
is any activity that involves promoting "RizzWaFaire."
This includes hanging posters (and for some wearing them), passing
out postcards, spreading the word to any and everyone about "RizzWaFaire."
We have our own Kim aka
to thank for this term. She began using the phrase to describe
what a group of SuperFans that went to Las Vegas back in December
were doing. Instead of saying we're hanging posters and passing
out postcards etc. Kim said we're "RizzWaFairing."
She began using it around the NEFC and it has caught on so thanks
to Kim for that new term.
There were three significant events in Houston,
TX the last few weeks which afforded the opportunity to promote
"RizzWaFaire." The
play "Man of Her Dreams"
which featured Ralph Tresvant was here in February. I attended
a couple shows and "RizzWaFaired"
after each show ended. Those in attendance had the opportunity
to meet, take pictures, and receive autographs from Ralph and
the cast. Those that received "RizzWaFaire"
postcards asked Ralph to sign them so not only do they
have his autograph but it's on a HOT postcard with his picture
on it. Also at this event Ralph gave a special thanks to the SuperFans
for working hard in helping promote his solo project. Click
to view the thank you.
February 16 - 19 Houston hosted the NBA All-Star
festivities. Since "RizzWaFaire"
is everywhere I got my "RizzWaFairing"
on during the course of that weekend. Many NBA fans
came back to their cars to see "RizzWaFaire"
cards on their windshields. Hopefully they will also be New Edition
and Ralph Tresvant fans now. On February 25, Houston hosted the
State of the Black Union 2006 presented by Tavis Smiley. All I
can say again is "RizzWaFaire"
is everywhere and unfortunately for cars so am I ha ha ha!
New Edition performed in Savannah, GA on February
11 and I did a bit of "RizzWaFairing"
there. The Atlanta team led that charge and did the brunt of "RizzWaFairing"
in Savannah as submitted above by the Atlanta Regional Team Co-Leaders.
Again thank you to all and Happy "RizzWaFairing."
Let's continue to get the word out for Ralph Tresvant and "RizzWaFaire!"
